Trying to rebound from a sweep this past Saturday, the Central basketball teams will host rival Simpson this evening in Iowa Conference play. Central’s women started the conference schedule with a win over Luther in dramatic fashion, but have stumbled since, losing three straight. Other than Kenzie Vander Molen, the Dutch aren’t seeing much offensive production from many other athletes and need someone else to step up. The big theme all year long for the Central men has been no back-to-back losses, and they’ll be challenged tonight with a struggling Storm team that just picked up their first league win on Saturday against Luther in overtime. Coach Craig Douma says to avoid back-to-back conference losses, they just need to prepare and bear down in practice. The Dutch and Storm women tip-off first tonight at 6:00 p.m.
