Two teams that gave Dubuque fits in their conference opener last Wednesday, Wartburg welcomes Central to Waverly tonight for another basketball doubleheader. The Lady Knights are 0 – 2 in the Iowa Conference and 6 – 7 overall. The Dutch are led by reigning Iowa Conference female athlete of the week, Kenzie Vander Molen, who is averaging over 16 points per game on the season, and 24 points per game in league play. However, the Knights do have four players putting up double digits in that points column on average through 13 contests. Wartburg’s men have a very stingy defense and it will be a challenge for the Dutch to score tonight, says Coach Craig Douma. Central and Wartburg’s women tip-off tonight at six.
