It seemed like it was just yesterday that the Central basketball teams were beginning their non-conference schedule. Now, here we are, January 8, and Central is already hosting game number one of Iowa Conference play tonight against Luther. The Norse men are a dangerous team from beyond the arc; making nearly 40% of those long-distance shots. One player, Nathan Meyer, is 24-for-42 from downtown. Coach Craig Douma says that his defense will be tested in tonight’s opener. The Dutch women will also have to be up on their game on defense. Luther’s women are shooting nearly 42% from the field and are scoring almost 78 points per game. Tonight’s doubleheader will be inside of the P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium and the women will tip-off at 6:00 p.m.
