Drugged Drivers

With an increase of alcohol use and abuse prevalent during the holidays, many people forget that there are many drugged drivers on our roads as well. Lt. Paul Haase of the Pella Police Department says that this includes motorists under the influence of methamphetamine, cocaine, or many times, prescription drugs. Haase says that you should talk to your doctor and/or pharmacist about the effects of any medications you are prescribed. He adds that while having proper documentation that the medicine is yours is good, it still does not permit you to drive while under the influence.
