Loras basketball awaits Central in Dubuque this afternoon. The Central women are looking to rebound after getting beaten by over 30 by Wartburg on Wednesday to fall to 1 – 2 in the league play. The DuHawks women are unscathed in the Iowa Conference, sitting at the top with a 3 – 0 mark. The Dutch will need to slow down Katie Langmeier, who is averaging over 15 points per game so far this season. Loras’ men had no problem handling Coe on Wednesday, and, along with the Dutch, are 2 – 1 in the Iowa Conference. Central breezed by Wartburg in their other league game this week, which was an important win for them following their loss to Dubuque last Saturday, says Coach Craig Douma. You can hear this afternoon’s games live on 92.1 KRLS and streamed live at with Cory Houser on the play-by-play. Pregame starts at 1:45 p.m. with tip-off at two.
