The 6 – 9 Pella Christian ball clubs will try to win their first games in a couple weeks with a visit to Newton High this evening. The first time the Cardinals and Eagles met up in mid-December, the games were close; decided by a total of six points. The Eagles’ girls have won just two games in their last eight affairs, which all started with a 40 – 35 defeat at the hands of the Cardinals. The boys are in the same boat, with the same number of wins in that same time period. With an arguably lighter load this week with Oskaloosa coming up on Friday, Coach Larry Hessing says regardless of the opponents it is all about improvement from one game to the next.
