Senior Matt Greenfield’s 60 points last week in Central’s two basketball games was enough to give him Iowa Conference Player of the Week honors. The senior Dutch put up a career-high 35 points in Central’s come-from-behind victory over Buena Vista on Saturday and added 25 in last Wednesday’s last-minute win over Simpson. On Central’s indoor track, senior Austin O’Brien was one of three Dutch athletes that captured an individual victory to help Central win their season opener on Saturday. The senior did so in record-breaking fashion, winning the 3,000-meter run and finishing ten seconds faster than teammate Eli Horton did in 2012.
