It’s not so much “March Madness” when it comes to high school basketball as it is “February Frenzy,” or whatever you want to call it, but the postseason is quickly approaching for our area squads. Pella Christian’s boys’ and girls’ teams lately know a lot about playing deep into February and into March. This year, however, the two Eagles’ teams are struggling to find an identity and wins. They are each 6 – 9 after being swept by Dallas Center-Grimes on Friday. With six games left in their regular season, boys’ coach, Larry Hessing, says that he’s just looking for his team to be ready to go for the postseason after these next three weeks. Newton is the next pin on the map for the Eagles and they’ll head there this Tuesday night.
