The Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad came from behind in the second half to stun Oskaloosa last night 66-63. The Panthers were down 15 points to begin the second half and went on an 11-1 run and outscored Oskaloosa 24-8 in the third stanza to get to within two points. The Panthers took the lead with 2:46 left in the game and after a couple more lead changes took the lead for good with 1:12 remaining and then had to survive three-three point attempts in the last 18 seconds by the Indians to win. Coach Jeff Larson said after a lackluster first half, he asked his guys a very important question. Gerrit Davis led four Panthers in double figures with 13 points. Knoxville is now 5-10 on the season and 3-6 on the Little Hawkeye Conference. On the girls side, the Panthers got a fight from Oskaloosa but pulled away in the fourth quarter to win 53-41. Ricki Hall had 19 points to lead the Panthers who improve to 7-9 in the season and 3-6 in the conference. Knoxville hosts Newton on Friday.
