The Pella Christian girls’ basketball team walked away with a nine point victory Friday night over visiting Norwalk, 46 – 37. The Eagles were led by offensive outbursts from Tessa Howerzyl, Brooke Mitrisin, and Lauren Jungling who combined for 41 of the teams 46 points. The win moves Pella Christian closer to .500 as they are now 5-6. The Pella Christian boys’ basketball team did not fare as well as the ladies did against the visiting Warriors, losing by a final score of 62-55. Leading all scorers was sophomore Sebastian Baugh who totaled 24 points. Josh Posthuma had nine points of his own. Pella Christian’s boys are 5-5 with a game tonight at North Polk and will join back up with the girls on Tuesday at Knoxville.
