Pleasantville’s girls bounced back and had a stronger game in a losing effort on Saturday against Bedford. The Trojans fell 59 – 36; Trisha Kunze had 16 points and Kennedy Core added 14. On the boys’ side, Pleasantville shed the Bulldogs late, 66 – 61. Coach Tom Wilkins tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that his team trailed for basically the whole game, but a late three by Dylan Lauer helped them go up by four and control the rest of the contest. Lauer finished with a game-high 23 points, and Trever Zoss had 18 to lead the Trojans. The girls drop to 1 – 8 while the boys are now 5 – 3. Each team comes home for a doubleheader against Southeast Warren this Tuesday.
