Formerly known as Corning and Villisca, Southwest Valley heads to Pleasantville tonight for a basketball doubleheader. The Timberwolves boys have had their problems scoring, averaging just 42 points per game. Their top two scorers combine for almost 24 of those points. The Trojans’ boys have done a great job on the boards, averaging over 32 rebounds per game through nine contests. Coach Tom Wilkins says that everyone on the team is contributing. Southwest Valley’s girls enter play 3 – 7 while the Trojans have just one win on the season. Tonight’s game can be heard live on with Kris Krug and Ed Bull on the play-by-play. Their pregame coverage starts at 6:00 p.m.
