Tax Season Changes

Posted By News On January 18, 2014 @ 5:59 am In Today’s Local News | Comments Disabled

With tax season just around the corner, and most Iowans now filing online, the Iowa Department of Revenue has announced the discontinuation of the Iowa individual income tax short form, or IA 1040A, and also the Iowa corporation income tax short form, or the IA 1120A. Both of those changes are effective for the tax year 2013. Brett Nikkel, CPA at Van Maanen, Sietstra and Meyer in Pella, says that as preparers, they are now required to E-File, which he says is easier, faster, and gets your return back to you quicker. For more information, contact your accountant or the Iowa Department of Revenue online at iowa.gov/tax.
