Demolition began last month at the old Kum and Go building at the intersection of Lincoln and West Pleasant streets in Knoxville. The building will be a location for a Medicap Pharmacy. The City of Knoxville has been working with Greg Johansen, of GRX Holdings, owner of the Knoxville Medicap. The apartment building that was on the site has been demolished, and the concrete in the existing parking lot has been torn up. Officials say the existing building will be expanded and remodeled, and the pharmacy will have a drive-thru window, and will have access from both West Pleasant and Lincoln.
