Keeping their postseason hopes alive, the Central women’s basketball team toppled Luther in convincing fashion, 70 – 57 last night. Central held the Norse to just 28% shooting for the game, while making 46% of their shots themselves. Kenzie Vander Molen scored a game-high 25, and Rachel Evans recorded a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Central’s men clinched at least a tie for first place in the conference with a thrilling 81 – 78 overtime victory over Luther. Colby Taylor had a career-high night with 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Dutch, who improve to 18 – 6 overall and 11 – 2 in the conference. The Dutch women are now 11 – 13 on the season and 3 – 10 in league play. The regular season wraps up for the Dutch this Saturday at home against Wartburg.
