In the spirit of the state wrestling tournament, tonight’s class 4A regional girls’ basketball semifinal between Pella High and Ballard is expected to be a heavyweight bout. The two schools played earlier this season, way back on December 10, with the Bombers pulling out a 54 – 46 victory in the Tulip City. A lot of time has passed since then, and both teams have grown considerably over the past two months. One thing that hasn’t changed, says Coach Jerod Garland, is that the Bombers will be very stingy on defense.
