Buena Vista is in the Tulip City tonight for a doubleheader with Central College on the hardwood. Central’s women played the Beavers to a four-point game about two-and-a-half weeks ago in an offensive explosion, but fell 83 – 79. That contest was the only time in the last six games the Dutch women scored more than 50 points and shot better than 40% from the field. Central will need to limit second and third chance opportunities by the Beavers tonight, says head coach Chelsea Petersen. Central’s men had their own challenges and had to come back from a double-digit second half deficit to beat the Beavers in their first meeting, 76 – 72. Tonight’s doubleheader tips off at 6:00 p.m.
