Tonight is the final road game of the regular season for the Central men’s and women’s basketball teams. They head to Decorah to take on Luther, a squad they swept to begin their conference schedule all the way back on January 8. For the women, it was their first conference win after using a last second Courtney Kelderman three to beat the Norse, but since then, the Dutch have went 1 – 10. Even with their struggles, Central’s women can still make it to the league tournament as a sixth seed if they can win both of their games this week. Central’s men can clinch at least a tie for the conference championship with a win tonight over the Norse. One thing that has helped the men to get to where they are has been their defense. Coach Craig Douma says his guys have been doing a tremendous job of defending inbounds plays. Tonight’s Iowa Conference doubleheader tips off at 6:00 p.m.
