Public Relations Director Katrina Nelson says Knoxville Hospital & Clinics is pleased to offer secure online access to patient’s medical information. This valuable tool will enable patients to communicate more effectively with the hospital and clinic healthcare team and better manage their healthcare by using the internet portal.
My Knoxville Portal will launch on February 24 and will allow hospital and clinic patients fast, easy access to their personal health information. My Knoxville Portal is a personalized, safe, secure and completely confidential communication link between the patient and their healthcare team.
Through a secure internet portal, patients can send electronic messages to their healthcare team, request appointments, view visit summaries, view lab results and vitals, access healthcare resources, and view a family member’s medical record (authorization required).
Patients can access My Knoxville Portal from anywhere once they have registered for an account and established a secure username and password. Computer kiosks will be available in the hospital and clinic waiting areas. Patients are welcome to access My Knoxville Portal on these computers during business hours.
“Our goal is to keep patients informed and involved in their healthcare every step of the way,” said Kevin Kincaid, Chief Executive Officer. “My Knoxville Portal will enable our patients to always get the best medical care we have to offer, from anywhere and at any time.”
