Cassandra Murra

After conducting interviews of the three candidates for the position of Superintendent, the Knoxville School Board has made an offer. School Board President Leslie Miller tells KNIA KRLS News that the School Board has offered the position to Cassandra Murra, who since 2010 has been serving as superintendent at Grundy Center. Murra has accepted the offer. Contract details have not been released yet. Murra will replace Dr. Randy Flack who will retire at the end of the current school year.

CASSANDRA MURRA
A. Currently serving as superintendent at Grundy Center, Iowa—a district of approximately 650 students. She has served in this role since 2010.
B. Previous professional experience:
1. Middle School Principal, Grundy Center, Iowa. She served in this role from 2008-2010.
2. 4-8 Principal and Director of School Improvement at AGWSR school district in Ackley, Iowa from 2000-2008.
3. Second and Third grade classroom teacher at Dike-New Hartford, Dike, Iowa from 1996-1999.
