The Knoxville Girls basketball Squad seems to have found their groove again. The Panthers dispatched a pesky Norwalk team 43-40 last night. Neither team had more than a five point lead until Knoxville put together a seven-to-one run to take the lead by six in the fourth quarter. Coach Jim Utiermarkt told KNIA/KRLS after early game struggles, they started playing better. Meredith Cunningham scored 12 points to lead the Panthers who move to nine-and-nine on the season and 5-6 in the Little Hawkeye Conference. On the boys side, if it was bound to go wrong for the Panthers, it did in a 71-39 loss to the Warriors. Luke Smith and Chase Higgenbotham led Knoxville with 11 points. The Panthers fall to 5-13 and 3-8 in the conference. The Panthers travel to Pella tonight.
