Last week, Pella and Pella Christian’s basketball teams squared off as foes on the basketball court, but they’ve also been teaming for the last decade off the court with Marion County Bank to raise money for both schools’ student activity funds. Each time the two schools play, students, teachers, and administrators raise funds by shooting layups, free throws, three pointers and half court shots to earn a donation from Marion County Bank. This year $7,500 was raised, including a $1,000 half court shot made by Lance De Zwarte, increasing the ten year total to over $65,000.
