Marion County roads crews are ready for more winter weather. Engineer Tyler Christian says the county’s sand supply is sufficient and readily available. He says the salt stockpile at Junction 92 is about 75% full, and there are smaller stockpiles at each satellite shop. He says the county has only taken delivery on 80% of the contracted amount of salt, which means the county should not be susceptible to inflation on salt prices, as there is plenty on hand now and more still available in the contract should the need arise.
