Four starters found double figures for Pella High’s boys in a fast-paced 87 – 76 win over Centerville on Tuesday night. Isaac Naaktgeboren scored 25, Bryce Bortscheller dumped in 20 and Jordan Pingel had 15 for the Dutch, who conclude the regular season with an 18 – 3 mark. They now turn their attentions to Washington in the Class 3A district playoff opener this Monday night. On the girls’ side, tonight, the Lady Dutch will play Newton for the second straight game, with a trip to Ballard and the Class 4A regional semifinal on the line. Coach Jerod Garland says their strong, second place finish in the conference is a testament to the depth of his team. You can hear the contest live on 92.1 KRLS and streamed live at KNIAKRLS.com with Cory Houser and Randy Sikkema on the call. Pregame starts at 6:30 p.m. with tip-off at seven.
