Pella defeated Knoxville in girls basketball last night 67-36. The Lady Dutch were able to get offensive rebounds to build a 14-point lead at the half and cruise from there. Panthers Coach Jim Utiermarkt told KNIA/KRLS Sports they handled the transition game better, but there were way too many offensive rebounds by Pella. Katie Vandermolen led the Pella attack with 18 points as the Lady Dutch improve to 13-6 and 9-3 in the Little Hawkeye Conference. The Panthers were led by Meredith Cunningham’s 13 points as Knoxville falls to 9-10 on the season and 5-7 in conference play.
