The Pella Police Department has spent the last two years gathering information for a statistical analysis of the city. Police Chief Robert Bokinsky tells KNIA/KRLS News that they are almost ready to release the report. He adds that with this being the 21st century, they need to use 21st century intelligence to police smarter, to understand when and where officers should be, and what they should be doing. He says that they will use the reports for anything they can mine data on, including traffic, enforcement actions, thefts, alcohol offenses, anything that can provide the force with an advantage while policing the city.
