Playing a day earlier due to the host WarHawks hosting team wrestling duals tonight, Pleasantville and Southeast Warren’s basketball teams met up last night for a doubleheader. The Trojans’ girls fell 58 – 34; Kennedy Core led all Pleasantville scorers with 22 points, and Bailey Oliva scored six and grabbed ten rebounds. Pleasantville’s boys got off to a slow start against the one-win WarHawks, but came out on top 63 – 32. Josh Luna had 18 points and Trever Zoss added 15 as the Trojans’ boys improve to 16 – 4 and the girls drop to a record of 4 – 17. Pleasantville’s boys will host Colfax-Mingo on Thursday, while the girls play in the first round of the Class 2A regional next on Saturday.
