Twin Cedars’ girls went 18-for-25 at the line while Melcher-Dallas had just five attempts, and the Sabers won 47 – 30 in Bluegrass Conference action last night. Brittney Roby and Allie Utterback each scored 17 for Twin Cedars, and Melcher-Dallas was led by Sydney Suntken who scored seven. The Sabers’ girls finish the regular season at 9 – 12 while the Saints drop to 10 – 12. The boys’ game wasn’t nearly as close, and Twin Cedars won going away, 75 – 34. Dylan Springer had a rare triple-double for the Sabers with 26 points, 11 blocks and 12 rebounds. Otis Roby also had 24 points for Twin Cedars, while Chase Wetterling was tops for the Saints’ boys with ten points. The Sabers’ boys improve to 14 – 7 and the Saints drop to 3 – 16. Both teams, except for Melcher-Dallas’ boys, are off until the postseason; the girls’ teams play tomorrow night, the Sabers’ boys compete a week from tomorrow, while the Saints’ boys play this Friday against Wayne.
