Two 13 year old boys have been arrested and charged with arson in the first and second degrees and criminal mischief in connection with fires set at Knoxville’s Walmart and Farm and Home Monday night. Authorities were able to review security footage and identify the boys. Walmart’s disaster response team was at the store Tuesday for clean up, and Walmart Spokesperson Dianna Gee says they would like to thank all responding agencies for their help with the fire and the investigation. She adds that Walmart would also like to especially recognize the efforts of Walmart Associate Pat Gorman, who was able to put the fire out within four minutes with a fire extinguisher. Gee says the company is “proud of his efforts to extinguish the fire.” The fire is still under investigation, and both boys have been taken to the Eldora Juvenile Detention Center.
