The Central men’s basketball team has made a lot of noise this year after they were expected to leave without as much as a whisper. They were picked to finish last in the Iowa Conference by the other league coaches in the preseason. The Dutch went ahead and proved everyone wrong by winning the regular season conference championship, and just for good measure, they won the league tournament, too, on Saturday. Senior Matt Greenfield says he and his team welcome the role of being an underdog. Central will play in an 8 vs. 9-seed match-up on Friday night in the NCAA Division III National Tournament, with the winner more than likely playing the number one ranked team in the country on Saturday.
