Not having anything to do with his manners, but head boys’ golf coach at Pella Christian, Jim Dingeman, did not say one “so long,” “farewell,” “auf wiedersehen” or “goodbye” to any of his golfers after last season. The reason for that is simple: he had nobody to say goodbye to. All of the Eagles golfers that were on the team last year are back this season, trying to get to the state meet after coming up short in 2013. Coach Dingeman and his Eagles also have the luxury of being outside this time of the year, as opposed to the cold, snowy weather that was still sticking around at this time last season, something he says he is very excited about. Pella Christian will open up their boys’ golf season on Monday, April 7 in Oskaloosa in a dual meet against Pella High.
