With most of a young squad and then some returning for the 2014 track and field season for the Pella Christian girls, the athletes have set some high benchmarks for achievements this year. They qualified a few events for the 2013 state track meet, and Coach Kevin Herdegen says his ladies would love to get bigger numbers on the “Blue Oval” in May. Herdegen says that numbers are up this year as opposed to last year, which should give them more depth when trying to fill the line-up card for track meets. The Eagles will officially begin their season on April 1st, when they head to Albia for an outdoor meet.
