Easter is April 20, and area communities will be celebrating with community Easter Egg hunts.

South of the river, Knoxville’s hunt, sponsored by the Knoxville Noon Kiwanis, will be April 19, at 1pm, at the corner of Madison and Lincoln streets, for children 1 to 12 years of age.

Melcher-Dallas’ Lions Club will sponsor a hunt on April 12, at 10am, at the City Park. Rain date will be April 19.

Bussey’s Easter egg hunt is on April 12 as well, at South Park, at 10 am, for kids ages zero to 10.

The Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce will host their annual egg hunt on April 19th, at 11:30 am, at the Pleasantville Elementary School. New this year will be a hunt for older kids and teens. They will have to search for clues hidden around town using their Smartphone or computers which will lead them to great prizes provided by our local chamber members. Clues and instructions on how to play will be posted on the Pleasantville Chamber’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Pleasantvillechamberofcommerce and on Pleasantville’s city website, at www.PleasantvilleChamber.org beginning on April 14th.

In Pella, Community 1st Credit Union and the local Kiwanis club are hosting an Easter egg hunt Saturday April 12th. The free event will start at 10am, and will be held at the Tulip Toren in Central Park for children ages one to eight. If needed, the rain date will be the following Saturday, the 19th, also at 10am.
