Falling just two games shy of the state basketball tournament, the Pella High boys’ basketball team had five names listed on the All-Conference honors’ list for the Little Hawkeye Conference. Isaac Naaktgeboren and Jordan Pingel were each unanimous choices for the first team. The junior Naaktgeboren averaged almost 18 points per game and was the team’s top rebounder averaging almost nine per game. Pingel, as a senior, scored 15 points per game and was second on the team in steals and even with his shorter stature, was second on the team with 11 blocks. Senior Bryce Bortscheller was named to the second team all-conference. He also averaged double-digits in scoring with 11.6 per game and was second for the Little Dutch with 81 assists. Nathan Clayberg and Seth Johnson each received an honorable mention.
