The Knoxville Wrestling Squad this past season was mostly young. Only two seniors with varsity experience were consistent starters on varsity, so it made for tough dual meets when the Panthers had to wrestle many of the top ranked class 2A and 3A teams. However, Coach Ron Peterson says they were a good tournament team because they could score points each time they hit the mat. He tells KNIA/KRLS Sports with mostly everybody that wrestled varsity this season coming back he looks for good things not only in tournaments, but also in dual meets as well. The Panthers went 7-12 in dual meet this season. Peterson hopes to improve on that record next season.
