Mid-Range, Short Game Needs Work this Season for Trojans’ Boys

Bringing back some talent, the Pleasantville boys’ golfers will try to improve on how 2013 went starting here in a few weeks. The wetter and colder weather did not do our area golf teams a lot of favors with first meets coming up soon. Coach Tim Koerselman says his duffers are pretty good off the tee, but need to get some work in with their mid-range and short games to knock off strokes from their scores from last year. Koerselman adds that being outside can help his guys get a feel for their clubs and what iron to use where and from what distance on the course, so hopefully things start warming up so they can begin work in those areas. Pleasantville’s boys will have their first golf meet on April 11 at Grand View Park Baptist against the Defenders and Melcher-Dallas.
