Just after 10am yesterday, the New Sharon Fire Department was called to 1663 Eaton Avenue, which sits in the countryside between Pella, Sully, and New Sharon. New Sharon Assistant Fire Chief Brad Latcham tells KNIA/KRLS News that assistance was requested from Sully, Pella, and Oskaloosa. Approximately 16-20 firefighters were on scene as the trailer was a total loss, and while no injuries were reported, he says the resident did have to climb out of a window to escape.
