With only five golfers on the team in 2014, the Pella Christian girls’ golf team is lacking depth to begin the season. The two main returners, Savanna Baugh and Autumn Vos are the big strengths of the team as they played in a majority of the varsity meets last season. However, as the season goes on, Coach Larry Hessing says he would like to see the rest of the team develop some “depth” and be able to step up when someone has an off day on the course. Pella Christian’s girls’ golfers will head out to the links for the first time in the regular season this Thursday against Des Moines Christian and Carlisle.
