Like their male cohorts on the track…the Knoxville Girls will have a lot of speed in the sprint races. Coach Jeremy Van Engen tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that one name comes to mind especially after last week’s Little Hawkeye Conference indoor meet. He says Carrie Chambers, who showed how quick she can be on the basketball court this winter, will try to outrun the competition in the sprint races. Van Engen says Tori Johnston, who just missed out on the state meet last year in the hurdle races is another sprinter that looked good last week. He says she is hungry for another chance for redemption.
