Now that we’ve hopefully shaken the colder weather off for good for the spring sports season, our area golfers can start making their way outside to get some practice in before their first meets next week. Golfers could officially start practice last week, but because of the spring break for Pella and Pella Christian, kids did not really officially begin preparations until this past Monday. However, Little Dutch head coach, Bob Fessler says some of his golfers took matters into their own hands. Fessler says the way last season ended, coming up short of the state golf tournament despite a nearly flawless regular season record, left the guys hungry and wanting to get back out on the links. Pella will open up their season with a dual meet against Pella Christian in Oskaloosa on Monday, April 7.
