The threat of rain forced Pella Christian and Albia’s girls’ tennis teams to hustle through their dual meet, but it was the Eagles who ended up on top of the Lady Dees last night. Pella Christian and Albia split the six singles matches that were played. The number of singles contests was upped due to the Lady Dees only having enough athletes to field three doubles teams. Claire and Addison Van Weelden along with Haylie Van Maanen all won in singles play. The Eagles won two of the three doubles matches to take the meet 5 – 4. The girls played just one set to eight games due to the weather. Full results can be found below. Pella Christian is next in action this Monday against Marshalltown.
