The Knoxville Soccer Squads split their matches last night. The girls fell to Carlisle 5-0 with all five goals coming in the second half. Knoxville’s Irie Roberts had 19 saves. On the boys side, it was the complete opposite as Knoxville held control for most of the match and shut out Carlisle 4-0. Alex Dye scored the first of his two goals in the first half, then added another early in the second. Gerrit Davis and David Dye each added goals in the second half as well. Panthers Coach Dylan Mick tells KNIA/KRLS the goal each match is to limit the opposition to no more than one goal. The Knoxville girls are 0-1 on the season and host Oskaloosa next Tuesday, while the boys start off 1-0 and host Grinnell tonight.
