Five strokes was the difference between first and second place in yesterday’s Knoxville girls’ golf triangular with Pella, Pleasantville and the host Panthers. The Trojans shot a team score of 204, with Pella in at second with 209. Camille Henry was the runner-up medalist in the nine-hole meet with her round of 49, losing by just one stroke to the leader, Bailey Oliva of Pleasantville. The Panthers were led by Evy Wells’ score of 54. Two Panthers had a personal best: Maggie Leavitt with a 55 and Taylor Harding’s 69. Coach Jason Carter says that Leavitt and Harding, while young, are starting to show real signs of improvement. Full results for all three teams can be found below.
