State Representative Guy Vander Linden tells KNIA/KRLS News that this week he expects a bill that would allow a state tax break of up to $2 million to help pay for a major expansion project at the Knoxville Raceway to be discussed on the Senate floor after passing out of an Iowa House Ways and Means Subcommittee. The bill would provide a rebate up to $2 million in state sales tax, and would cover up to a quarter of the cost of the expansion project. Representative Vander Linden adds that there are similar bills under consideration that try to increase the economic activity across the state, something Vander Linden says is one of his main priorities.
