Eagles’ Tennis Downed by Indians

Pella Christian’s girls’ tennis team nearly came back from a big singles’ deficit, but fell to Oskaloosa last night, 7 – 4. The Eagles dropped five of the six singles matches, with the one win coming off the racquet of Claire Van Weelden who won in straight sets, 6 – 1 and 6 – 1. Pella Christian notched three doubles victories, but couldn’t quite pull off the other two in the loss. Full results are below. The Eagles are next in action on Monday in the Little Hawkeye Conference meet in Grinnell.
