The Knoxville Boys Tennis Squad finished second to Pella at the team district tournament yesterday. The Panthers finished ahead of Grinnell. That means Knoxville has qualified for the class 1A sub state this Saturday where the Panthers will take on Grinnell at the Joel Tonda Tennis Courts in Knoxville. Jared McClung also became the first boys tennis player from Knoxville since 2003 to qualify for the state individual meet. Coach Greg Higgenbotham tells KNIA/KRLS that McClung is starting to peak at the right time. The Panthers will play Grinnell Saturday at ten while McClung will play in the state individual meet May 30th and 31st in Waterloo.
