The favorites to win both the boys’ and girls’ titles, the Pella High track and field teams have home “track” advantage tonight for the 2014 Little Hawkeye Conference meet. The Little and Lady Dutch have been knocking down their competition and turning in several first place finishes throughout this season. Having had great success at the league meet over the past several years, Pella High girls’ track coach Dak Rasmussen says that for their team to do well again, they must maintain their focus. On the boys’ side, Pella Christian coach Keith Anderson says that they realize they probably won’t win the meet tonight, but they ultimately want to go out and win a few events and simply be better than last time. The conference meet is scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. start.
