Twin Cedars’ baseball made it four straight to open up their 2014 season, beating Southeast Warren yesterday, 8 – 2. Drew Carlson got the start on the mound and earned the win, lasting four-and-a-third, giving up no hits and striking out six. Carlson also went 1-for-2 batting and knocked in three runs. Teammate Otis Roby also drove in three. The Saber girls fell 3 – 1 to the Warhawks. Brittney Roby only gave up two hits and struck out ten, but it was her defense that let her down, as they committed four errors. The boys are now 4 – 0, the girls drop to 0 – 1. Twin Cedars baseball plays at Murray for a tournament tonight and the girls are at home against Melcher-Dallas.
