It was a slim margin, but the Pleasantville girls’ golf team took first in yesterday’s opening round of the Class 2A regional tournament. The Trojans shot a 373, just five strokes better than second place Central Decatur. Trojans’ sophomore, Hannah Gordon shot an 80 and earned meet medalist honors. Pella Christian’s gals were also in attendance, but due to an illness, they could not field a full team. Autumn Vos had the Eagles’ best score with a round of 99 to finish ninth. Pleasantville advances to the final round of regionals in exactly one week, with a return trip to the state tournament on the line.
