In March 2013, Nicholas Wade Carter, now age 19, was arrested and charged with 2nd degree arson in connection with a fire at 110 East Robinson in Knoxville. Carter later pled not guilty, and was released on $10,000 bond. Carter was scheduled to go to trial in Marion County on June 4, but that trial was cancelled. Carter appeared in Marion County District Court this morning, and withdrew his previous plea of not guilty, and entered a plea of guilty to arson 2nd degree. His sentencing hearing is set for August 1, 2014, at 9:30.
